Tried/Argued Before: Judge
Demand: $800,000
Verdict: $0 - The Court granted our client's Motion for Summary Disposition and dismissed Plaintiffs' case against our clients in its entirety and with prejudice.
Name of Judge(s): Dennis Leiber
Keys to the Case:
This case arose out of the Defendants’ legal representation of Plaintiffs concerning Plaintiffs’ purchase of an automobile dealership. Plaintiffs alleged that the Defendant attorney had failed to properly conduct due diligence concerning the automobile dealership purchase, and that the Defendant had failed to properly advise Plaintiffs concerning the manner in which the purchase was structured, and concerning financial guarantees required by the automobile manufacturer. A key to the case was our agressive discovery strategy which resulted in the acquisition and identification of significant evidence that supported strong legal arguments to form the foundation of our Motion for Summary Disposition. Another key was obtaining Plaintiffs’ deposition testimony and significant records from other litigation involving Plaintiffs, and that also supported our Motion for Summary Disposition.
