Lauren A. Sterrett is experienced in defending clients in a variety of no-fault litigation matters, including PIP and third-party claims. Ms. Sterrett handles all phases of litigation, discovery through resolution. She has handled all aspects of litigation, including attending court hearings and depositions. She is well-experienced in negotiating settlements with opposing counsel.
Ms. Sterrett ompleted her law degree at Michigan State University College of Law, graduating with Honors. While in law school, Ms. Sterrett was named to the Dean’s List for numerous semesters. She received a Jurisprudence Achievement Award in Negotiations, achieved Third Place Petitioner Brief, Moot Court Competition Class, served as Associate Articles Editor, International Law Review, and authored the publication, Product Liability: Advancements in European Union Product Liability Law and a Comparison between the EU and U.S. Regime (23 Mich. St. Int’l L. Rev. 885 (2015).)
Ms. Sterrett earned dual Bachelor of Arts degrees, with Honors, in History and Political Science, from the University of Michigan. She was an Angell Scholar while at U of M, attaining a 4.0 GPA for two consecutive semesters. Ms. Sterrett also held University Honors while at U of M, recognition for maintaining a 3.5 or higher GPA, for five semesters. Additionally, she served as Treasurer, Vice President, and Outreach Chair for First-Generation College Students of Michigan.
Lauren Sterrett is admitted to practice law in the State of Michigan, and the United States District Court, Eastern District of Michigan. She is a member of the State Bar of Michigan’s Business Law, Insurance and Indemnity Law, Litigation, and Young Lawyers Sections. Ms. Sterrett is also an active member of the Macomb County Bar Association.
