Our Motor Vehicle Litigation Practice Group is committed to aggressively defending motor-carriers, owners and operators of motor vehicles, as well as a growing number of Michigan's respected and well established automobile insurance companies. Secrest Wardle attorneys are well versed in litigation involving third party motor vehicle negligence claims, first party personal injury protection benefit claims and various insurance coverage disputes. Over the years we have built an impressive record of litigation victories in the state and federal courts.

In 1996, Michigan implemented significant tort reform which led to the mass filing of third party and first party lawsuits prior to the effective date of the new laws. Despite tort reform, the Motor Vehicle Litigation Practice Group handles approximately 300 cases per year in various jurisdictions.

In 1935, Sears opened its first Allstate office in Detroit and selected Secrest Wardle as its first defense firm.
