Caroline Grech is an Executive Partner who has held several positions throughout her years with the Firm. Caroline has worked with some of the best litigators of the Firm including John Secrest, Roger Wardle and Bruce Truex. Over the last 25 years, Ms. Grech has tried cases in the United States District Court of Michigan, and in Michigan State and District Courts. Caroline finds practicing law very rewarding. She has held various positions in the legal field since 1986, when she worked with Barry Howard in his private law practice. Caroline is a seasoned trial attorney with experience in complex litigation involving products liability, contract disputes, errors and omissions and defamation. Her expertise is employment law. Caroline has a challenging and rewarding law practice. She was employed by Hanover Insurance Company as their lead employment attorney for Michigan and Ohio from 2016-2019. As an employment law attorney she has handled cases in a number of areas including civil rights violations, pregnancy discrimination, sexual harassment, FLSA, age discrimination, whistleblower and retaliation. Caroline has experience defending clients with administrative agencies such as the Department of Labor, EEOC, MDCR and in Michigan State and Federal Courts. She has also handled UIA claims against employers.
Caroline’s goal is obtaining successful favorable outcomes for her clients. She has successfully defended major and small/family owned businesses such as public libraries, water treatment plants, daycare centers, non-profits, dealerships, non-union shops, trucking companies and restaurants. Caroline is of the belief that preparation and planning for strategic targeted discovery, investigation, and witness preparation leads to successful outcomes. She has strong litigation skills in every aspect of case management from pre-suit investigations through all aspects of litigation to the final resolution including trial.
