Caroline A. Grech is an experienced litigator who returned to Secrest Wardle’s Troy office as an Executive Partner in 2024. She was previously employed with Secrest Wardle from 2001 through 2016 and held various positions from Associate through Executive Partner. She is a member of the Firm’s General Negligence, Premises Liability, and Employment Law practice groups.

 

Ms. Grech’s practice includes the full range of litigation including a full range of employment issues, including hiring, employee relations, terminations, performance management, compliance, investigations and government relations. She handles employment law issues including civil rights violations, discrimination, sexual harassment, FMLA, and disability issues. She is an experienced litigator handling cases from all phases of pre-litigation and litigation from pre-trial, discovery (written discovery, investigations and inspections, depositions) and motion practice through trial, arbitration and/or resolution through the mediation/facilitation process. Caroline practices in administrative courts from the EEOC, Michigan Department of Civil Rights, NLRB, UIA, Michigan State and Michigan US Federal District Courts in Michigan and Ohio. She has extensive experience in business and commercial litigation including defamation, errors and omissions, automobile accidents and premises liability.

 

Ms. Grech received a Bachelor of Science from Madonna University with honors. She received her Juris Doctor Cum Laude from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School. Caroline is admitted to practice law in the State of Michigan, the United States District Court, Eastern and Western Districts, United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and the Supreme Court of Ohio, authorized to appear and practice in all Courts and Agencies of the State of Ohio. She is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and the Ohio State Bar Association.
